THE PROCESS

Working with me, you can expect a full-service photography experience.  We will start the process, beginning with a personal phone call consultation, discussing your vision and preferences, allowing us to determine the perfect location  and anything else we need to make this session totally awesome! It’s also our chance to make sure that we are a good fit before deciding to work together. 

Next, I’ll e-mail you the booking and contract for you to complete and signed, with the next steps to confirm your session. After that, the fun begins! Once you've booked, I'll provide you with some tips and suggestions to help you prepare. I'll help you style/select the perfect wardrobe for your session, and you'll get a prep guide to cover all details and what to expect to make your experience perfect.

During the session, this is where the magic happens! We'll laugh, embrace your family and chaos, make memories... and allow me to capture the beauty that is unfolding. Don't worry about being camera shy, I'll guide you through every pose and expression.

After your session, I will send you Proofing Gallery over the online viewing gallery, where you’ll be able to review the raw images and pick the ones that you want me edit. As soon as I have the images edited and ready, I’ll send them to you to download, and/or purchase prints, canvases and albums.

Often, during most portrait sessions with me, I will set up unique and styled compositions for your portraits. I will guide you through every single moment of the session and hope to make you feel beautiful and comfortable while we document your most special memories.

Most sessions typically begin with some posed portraits. After we capture the more classic images, the session will become more relaxed, giving you a chance to have fun as I take candid photographs. My deepest desire is to capture you and your family at your best and as they are, so take deep breaths and enjoy the time with your family during the session with me.

Most outdoor sessions are scheduled in the later afternoon, closer to the sunset hour, and I'll work with you to set up your time and location as your set date approaches. In the case that the weather does not permit on the date of your session (i.e. rain, storm, etc.), you will be notified in a timely manner and we can discuss our options if the session needs to be rescheduled.

Editing is a big part of my job and I usually spend many hours editing your session after you leave. I am very detail-oriented and I will spend as much time as I need to give you the best of the best. Within a week or two after the session, you will receive your proof gallery for review, and then you can select your final images for your final gallery for download.

Whichever package you choose, know that I'll do my best to capture and create an exceptional experience from the time you contact me until the time your products are delivered!
