I could literally photograph mothers every single day and not get tired of it. Each momma is so special, each bond so unique, but the look of being utterly and completely in love with your child... the look of serenity is always the same.

Makayla met her husband and his three beautiful daughters a couple years ago. They are soon welcoming their first baby boy to the family. She is every excited to be a first time mom but the motherly love that she share with these beautiful girls, as well. This family is so much more than gorgeous, they are kind and generous as well! And the way they love each other is beautiful.

I feel so honored to have been able to capture the growth of this beautiful family.

"Me and this beautiful family became a whole a couple years backs. We have the youngest Gianah who is the sour patch kid. Michealah who truly tries to please everyone and the oldest Nevaeh who is a growing “tweenager”. Though all different we still manage to have an amazing relationship and gang up on their daddy. As big sisters they are excited to invite their baby brother into the world just as we are. In the beginning it’s was a little rocky but with the kicks and wiggles and the time we waited for him, makes it all worth it. I just want to say I can’t thank Summer enough for being able to capturing not only me becoming a first time mom but the motherly love that I share with these beautiful girls. She did amazing at directing and choosing the right scenery for my dresses and my family. I couldn’t be happier with my choice in choosing her as my photographer."

Motherhood is my absolute favorite thing to photograph!
